I. Objectives.

1. Knowledge. This lesson will help students revise the language they have studied and the skills they have practised since unit 4. By the end of the lesson, ss can review skills (reading, speaking, listening & writing they have learnt from unit 4-5- 6 by doing exercises.

2. Ability

Teamwork and independent working, pair work, linguistic competence, cooperative learning and communicative competence.

3. Attitude

Students are hard-working, attentive and ready to take exam.

I. Objectives.

2. Ability

Students are hard-working, attentive and ready to take exam.

Activity 1. Warm up (5’)
Aim: To warm up the class and introduce the lesson.
Activity 2. (10’) 
Aim: Help Ss know how to do the reading exercise.
Ss read the text and answer the questions independently. They can then compare their answers with a partner. Check and have Ss explain where in the text they found the information for the answers. 
- Ss read about the Vu Lan Festival in Viet Nam and decide whether the statements are true (T) or fales (F).
 - T checks ss’s answers.
Activity 3. (8’)
Aim: Help Ss know how to give their opinion
 This is an open speaking exercise. Allow Ss some time to read the ideas and form their own opinion. Ss can work in groups. Have some Ss/groups present their own opinions in front of the class.
- Have ss imagine a foreign tourist is coming to your country. Make notes of six tips about the social customs in your country. Use the following ideas or your own.
- Ask ss to practice in pairs. Take turns to tell each other your tips. Do you agree with your partner’s tip?
- Ss do this exercise individually then compare their answers with a partner 
- T helps ss and elicits answers. 
Activity 4. (10’) 
Aim: Help Ss listen and do exercise: True or false.
Ask Ss to carefully read the questions first. T then plays the recording. Ss listen and decide if the statements are true or false. Write Ss’ answers on the board. Don’t confirm their answers at this stage. Have them listen
again and check their own answers. Then correct them.
- Have ss listen to a man talking about social customs in France and Britain. Choose the most appropriate answer to each question.
 - T plays the recording once for ss to listen. Play the recording again for ss to check their answers. Announce the answers to ss
Activity 5. (10’) 
Aim: Help Ss write a short paragraph about social custom in Viet Nam.
- Ask ss to look at the letter and the contents. Go through and brainstorm the information about the social customs in Viet Nam. 
Activity 6. Feedback (4’)
Aim: To help Ss summary main content and guide ss to do homework
- Repeat the main knowledge in the lesson.
- T gives out the work and guides ss to prepare for the new lesson.

Activity 2. 25’
Aim: Ss can use the grammar and doing exercises.
- Ss work individually, look at the grammar box if necessary. 
- Ss do the exercise and compare the answers in pairs before checking with the whole class.
- Elicit the form and use of the conditional sentence type 1 from Ss. 
- Ask Ss to give some example sentences.
- Ss do this exercise individually and then compare the answers with a partner.
