I hope you’re taking care of yourself . I received a letter from your aunt last week . I miss you a lot . Don’t forget to write . Your grandfather talks about you a lot . Call some Ss to give their predictions . -Listen to T eliciting the words. - Listen and repeat chorally/ individually, practice the words and copy down. - predict the content of the letter by ordering the sentences of Hoa’s mom’s letter: - Help Ss understand more about the content of the letter. III. Activity 3. While - reading (15') 1. Ckecking prediction. Ask Ss to look at the then check their predictions . Ask Ss to read the letter again then find out the answers for the questions in the book . Have Ss work in pairs . 2. Answering the questions - run through the questions Have Ss play a game called lucky numbers : Who helps Hoa’s parents on the farm ? LN What does Hoa’s mother want her to do? Why are Hoa’s parents busy ? LN What does Hoa’s mother want her not to do ? How is Hoa different now ? When will they go to Hanoi ? Remark and ask Ss to write the answers in the notebooks Look at the book and then check the predictions . Give the answers . - Read the letter aloud . Read the letter again to find out the answers for the questions . Work in pairs . Play a game : lucky numbers . OBJECTIVES. 1.Knowledge : - By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to talk about a visit to the dentist. and answer the questions about Mr. Lai by listening. Language content. Vocabulary : - Words related to the topic about a toothache. Grammar : - The simple present tense - The simple past tense . - What’s the matter ? = What’s wrong ? 2. Skills: listening and speaking skills, using the language. 3. Attitude: - Be aware of how to keep hygiene, protect teeth from toothache - Students will have responsibility keeping personal hygiene especially for the healthy teeth. B. MATERIALS: 1.Teacher: Textbooks, teaching plan, lap top, TV 2. Students: Textbooks, notebook, pen. C.
