GETTING STARTED
I. Objectives:
1. Knowledge. By the end of the lesson, Ss will be able to get acquainted with the topic about ethnic groups of Viet Nam.

Aim: Ss complete the sentences to get ready for the topic
Ask Ss to find out the words.

Aim: Ss practice vocab relating to the topic and speaking correct intonation.

Activity 3. 30’
Aim: Ss can practice the lexical items related to the topic.
Ask Ss to look at the picture ask:
1. What can you see in the picture?
2. Can you guess who are they?
3. Where are they?
4. What are they talking about?
-Ss listen and read the dialogue.
-Introduce some new words
Ex a: Find the opposite of these words
Ss to do Ex individually. Ss share the answers with their partner.
-Ask 1 to write the answers on the board.
-S write the answers on the board, others correct then give the right answers.

- Read for general and specific information about ethnic minorities 
- Talk about our own ethnic group

- Have some Ss repeat the words/ phrases indicating the peoples of VN they learnt in the previous lesson.
- Ask ss to look at the picture then guess 
Activity 2. (20’)
Aim: Ss practice vocab relating to the topic and speaking correct intonation.
- Explain some new word
- Guide Ss to read new words in chorus and individually
- Ss discuss the questions in pairs to explore custom and tradition of ethnic group about farming, culture ... 
- Encourage ss to make guesses if they are not sure. 
- Ask ss to read the questions aloud, T reminds the rest of the ss to think about what the answer will be, without looking at the text. 
- Ss to read the text and underline any words they don’t know. 
- Call ss to read aloud to the class.
- Check their pronunciation and intonation. 
- Explain the new words and clarify anything difficult. 
- Ss compare the answers with a classmate.
- Call some ss to write the answers on the board. Other ss comment.

Activity 3. 15’
Aim: Ss discover some facts about ethnic groups
- Look at the two pictures and ask and answer some questions about them.
- Ask ss to read the facts about the Bru- Van Kieu people and Khmer people. 
- Divide the class into two groups, ach preparing to talk about one ethnic group. Otherwise, Ss may work in apirs, each of them talks about about one ethnic group.
- Some volunteers to present to the rest of the class. 
- Ss work in group to talk about their own ethnic group. Ask them to focus on one or two aspect such as clothing, food, ways of living, customs, and traditions, festivals, beliefs,..

I. Objectives: 
By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: Understand new words and structures in the dialogue; Answer the questions after reading the dialogue.
* Skills: Drill listening, speaking and reading mainly.
2. Ability.
- Practice the dialogue fluently
- Ss will be able to use the lexical items related to the leisure activities and read correct intonation.
3. Attitude.
- Spend time on leisure activities by taking part in outdoors or indoors so that students can generate their positive energy after school
- Have respect for teachers.

- Ask Ss prepare photos or magazine cut-outs about some popular leisure activities including those you often do in their spare time.
- Ask Ss to describe them in English. Then ask them to guess which activities you may enjoy doing .Encourage Ss to do the same in pairs. One S writes a short list of activities and the other guesses

- Ask Ss to guess where they are and what they are doing. For more able classes, brainstorm questions with Ss and wire them on the board. 
- Ask Ss read the dialogue in silence to find out new words and structures 
- Explain new words and structures by asking Ss 
- Let Ss give examples 
- Ask Ss repeat new words and structures after the teacher 
- Have some Ss read aloud before the class

- Start the lesson by doing a quick class survey on how many Ss use computers frequently and what they use them for (eg. Watching movies listeningto music, playinggames,accessing social media,
doinghomework..)
- Ask Ss give examples of your own use of computers and mobile phones 
- Then have Ss work in pairs to discuss the questions .Call on some pairs to share their ideas once they have finished their discussion 
- Ask Ss write the ideas on the board 
- Ask SS look at the title and the picture and predict what they are going to read. Say that they are going to read about a student named Quang 
- Encourage to develop their ideas by guesing what Quang’s story is about 
- Then ask Ss to read the text and underline any work they don’t know 
- Have Ss discuss any unfamiliar words from the text 
- Let Ss work individually to choose the best answer. They need to be able to explain their choise as well 
- Tell Ss for this exercise they will need to look at the keywords in the responses in order to find out the questions
